Elissa Greenspoon, Esq.
Elissa Greenspoon has been practicing law for 37 years. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Douglass College in 1981 and received a Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School, Newark in 1985. Upon graduating from law school, she was a Law Clerk to the Honorable Lawrence Lerner, J.S.C. (ret.), in the Middlesex County Superior Court, Family Part. Ms. Greenspoon has been admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey and in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. She is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and a member of its Family Part.
The first 10 years of Elissa’s practice were mainly devoted to Family Law, Bankruptcy Law and Wills and Estates. Elissa then transitioned to a full-service general practice law firm in order to meet all of the legal needs of her clients. Today, her work has expanded to also include Real Estate, Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, Guardianships, Landlord Tenant Law, Criminal Defense and Municipal Court.
Elissa has served as a Panelist for the Union County Early Settlement Panel for over 25 years. She is also a Panelist for the Essex County Early Settlement Panel. She has also served as a Law Guardian for foster children and has volunteered for Partners for Women and Justice.
Elissa is committed to helping litigants reach a fair and equitable settlement of their family law cases and is a dedicated and supportive attorney who can help alleviate the stress that often accompanies a divorce or child custody matter.
